Senior/Staff Technical Program Manager - Compute Hardware

Zoox is developing purpose-built robotaxis and the sensors, compute, and electronics required for autonomous driving.

What you will do

• Lead the Primary Compute Unit program from architecture and hardware development through validation, integration, and production.
• Translate corporate strategy and vehicle milestones into product roadmaps, schedules, deliverables, and accountability structures.
• Coordinate engineering, firmware, software, systems, safety, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, finance, and vehicle integration teams.
• Manage supplier build planning, end-of-line testing, procurement coordination, supplier quality, and final PCU assembly readiness.
• Drive fleet issue prioritization, root-cause analysis, resolution, communication, and JIRA tracking.
• Communicate program status, risks, decisions, and accomplishments to stakeholders and facilitate technical and non-technical alignment.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in program management.
• Deep experience with hardware development and hardware-software integration.
• Significant experience working with JDM and CM suppliers to deliver products from conception through production.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects and using tools such as JIRA and Smartsheet.
• Ability to work through rapid design cycles, uncertainty, and complex technical issues with proactive problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Automotive industry experience or prior experience developing compute systems.
• References demonstrating strong working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across functions.
