NPI Materials Project Manager IV (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. Relocation eligible; travel required approximately 10% of the time.

Salary: $108,000–$148,500 per year, plus potential bonus and stock award programs.

What you will do

• Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate NPI deliverables across buyers, planners, production control, engineering, quality, and manufacturing.
• Create and maintain materials strategies, including supplier selection, sourcing, make-versus-buy analysis, and supplier risk assessment.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery terms, commercial agreements, and part-level exclusivity arrangements.
• Monitor supplier delivery, quality, cost, capacity, manufacturing cycle times, and readiness for prototyping and volume production.
• Drive cost reduction, total landed cost, gross margin, lead-time reduction, dual sourcing, and supply-risk mitigation initiatives.
• Present sourcing, cost, capacity, and lead-time initiatives to stakeholders, management, and internal customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in NPI sourcing project management within a manufacturing or technology-driven industry.
• Strong knowledge of material planning, procurement, and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and relevant tools such as SAP, Oracle, and Excel.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders, including supplier relationship and performance management.
