Senior Software Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Hybrid; employees must work in the office at least three days per week in Addison, Texas; Bellevue, Washington; Durham, North Carolina; or Emeryville, California.

Annual base salary: $191,000–$293,000, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain hirify.global products as part of an agile development team.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy new products and product ideas from the ground up.
• Develop large cloud-based data services and backend systems.
• Collaborate with product management and customers to incorporate feedback throughout development.
• Debug production issues, resolve root causes, and improve system supportability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a computer science degree is preferred.
• Eligibility for U.S. federal contract work is required.
• At least five years of industry experience; seven or more years is preferred.
• Experience with Golang, C++, or Rust; PostgreSQL; API design; and Azure or AWS database services.
• Experience with cloud object storage, streaming and multipart data-transfer systems, Terraform or Pulumi, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write automated tests, balance rapid development with maintainability, and learn new backend tools and languages.

Nice to have

• Ability to obtain Canadian Reliability status (Protected B).
• Experience with Golang is preferred over the other listed programming languages.
