Power Distribution Systems Engineer (Entry or Staff)

Salary: $70,000–$106,267 per year, depending on level and experience.

What you will do

• Apply engineering standards, principles, theories, and techniques to power distribution assignments.
• Develop technical documentation, including designs, calculations, testing materials, reports, and standards.
• Support operations, maintenance, testing, diagnostics, regulatory activities, commissioning, and inspections.
• Coordinate engineering projects and project phases covering research, design, equipment selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Support bid evaluations through technical analysis, calculations, and communication with internal business areas and vendors.
• Coordinate interns, drafters, technicians, and other personnel while developing technical competencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Entry level: 0+ years of relevant engineering experience and demonstrated competencies for the engineering level.
• Staff level: 2+ years of relevant engineering experience, with broad knowledge of the specialty and related disciplines.
• Experience or familiarity with distribution planning studies, CYME/Synergy, ADMS, FLISR, IVVO, DERMS, smart meter settings, and distributed intelligent applications.
• Experience with SEL 651R, S&C IR/Teams, switched cabinets, control and settings, and cross-functional or field teams is beneficial.
• EIT/FE certification is preferred for entry-level candidates and strongly preferred for staff-level candidates.
