Testing Engineer (QA Automation)

Location: Onsite at EOIR Headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, United States

Supports enterprise application modernization efforts for the Executive Office for Immigration Review through software testing and quality validation.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, scripts, scenarios, and supporting documentation.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate application workflows, interfaces, integrations, data exchanges, migrated data, and system behavior against requirements.
• Document test results and software defects, support root cause analysis, and retest corrective actions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, functional SMEs, developers, security personnel, system administrators, and Government stakeholders.
• Support implementation, production readiness, post-deployment validation, stabilization, defect triage, Agile ceremonies, and testing reviews.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Department of Justice Public Trust Investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and relevant professional experience in software testing, quality assurance, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Experience with requirements-based testing, requirements traceability, functional and integration testing, defect management, and regression testing.
• Knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies, API and system integration testing, data migration validation, and Section 508 accessibility testing.
• Ability to document testing results and communicate technical issues clearly to business, technical, and Government stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the Department of Justice, EOIR, or other Federal civilian agencies.
• Experience with web-based, cloud-based, Microsoft, or Power Platform solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar requirements, test management, and defect-tracking tools.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments and supporting User Acceptance Testing.
