What you will do
- Monitor and maintain plant vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs with buyers and plant teams.
- Run inventory reports, answer inventory questions, and investigate discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendor contacts and resolve vendor issues tactfully.
- Maintain vendor pricing tables, VMI records, and cash contract records.
- Prepare reports and correspondence, process import payables, and support special projects.
- Provide backup receptionist coverage and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in inventory control or a related area.
- Working knowledge of inventory internal controls and company procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software.
- Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades, and species.
- Understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures is preferred.
