Logistics Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Location: Lyndhurst, VA 22952, USA; onsite role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

hirify.global provides custom-engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with in-house engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support.

What you will do

• Coordinate outbound trucking and inbound freight for finished products, equipment, materials, and project shipments.
• Obtain and compare freight rates and schedule transportation with carriers, suppliers, and internal resources.
• Coordinate delivery appointments, including special and oversized shipments, and communicate shipment changes to stakeholders.
• Track shipments, resolve delays and delivery issues, and maintain shipping, carrier, and transportation records.
• Purchase shop, facility, maintenance, and repair supplies, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Coordinate across purchasing, manufacturing, project management, suppliers, freight companies, and transportation providers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, purchasing, procurement, manufacturing support, or a related field preferred.
• Experience coordinating freight, trucking, shipping, receiving, or supplier deliveries is preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments, vendors, and priorities while working independently and coordinating with multiple departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel, and ability to learn ERP and purchasing systems.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing, construction, industrial, or mechanical industry experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, purchasing systems, or shipping software.
