Inventory Specialist

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; onsite warehouse and distribution center role.

What you will do

• Fill customer orders and prepare products for shipment from the distribution center.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory processing, location maintenance, vendor returns, and exception reporting using RF handheld devices and a warehouse management system.
• Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies, receiving exceptions, shipping issues, customer returns, and damaged materials.
• Receive, verify, stock, stage, load, and ship materials while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with vendor buyers about product and inventory corrections.
• Maintain branch equipment and follow safety, security, productivity, and customer service standards.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in inventory control, a high-volume warehouse, or a distribution center is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, automated order-entry systems, and internet-based tools.
• Customer-oriented communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions and interpret safety and operating documents.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment certification is preferred.
