Environmental Field Technician (Stack)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia, USA; frequent overnight and local travel required for multi-weekday projects up to 75% of the time or more

Salary: $23.50–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Follow established testing methods and procedures to support consistent source testing.
• Perform field source tests at customer locations.
• Record complete and accurate test data on datasheets.
• Prepare, clean, repair, calibrate, and fabricate glassware and other project equipment.
• Work outdoors in industrial settings and on elevated platforms ranging from 50 to 300 feet.

Requirements

• No prior experience required; transferable experience in labor, construction, industrial maintenance, mechanical work, laboratory work, environmental work, or field science is applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and travel overnight or locally for extended projects.
• Must be able to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical certification and an OSHA Respiratory Protection Medical Evaluation.
