Environmental Test Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite weekday shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

What you will do

• Assemble, instrument, and test satellite flight hardware during development and production.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot thermal, thermal vacuum, HASS/HALT, vibration, and shock test equipment.
• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot instrumentation and harnessing, including pressure transducers, flowmeters, temperature sensors, accelerometers, and strain gauges.
• Assemble and activate custom test racks and automated equipment interfacing with flight hardware.
• Coordinate with engineering, facilities, test engineers, and management on equipment activation and daily test activities.
• Perform equipment maintenance, test troubleshooting, documentation, and work-area cleanup.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least three years of environmental testing experience.
• Extensive experience with vibration tables and thermal vacuum chambers.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and test processes, technical drawings, shop orders, and detailed work instructions.
• Experience with electronic, hydrostatic, and pneumatic test equipment, gauges, measuring devices, calibrated equipment, and overhead cranes or rigging.
• Experience with software systems, databases, Microsoft Office, manufacturing execution systems, non-conformance systems, ticketed request systems, and order scheduling systems.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance are required; U.S. export-control eligibility or authorization is also required.
