Environmental Solutions Field Technician I

What you will do

• Perform tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, and high-pressure washing.
• Carry out remedial activities involving confined-space entry, including work in manholes.
• Respond to customer spills and environmental emergencies during and outside normal business hours.
• Set up and operate pumps, trailer-mounted generators, air compressors, light towers, pallet jacks, skid steers, and other equipment.
• Maintain equipment and work sites while following applicable safety policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Experience working with light and heavy equipment and responding to hazardous or non-hazardous emergencies and cleanup activities.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, and understand operational, technical, process, safety, and quality instructions.
• Knowledge of chemicals and safety data sheets, plus proficiency with basic tablet or PC use and hand tools.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience; a confined-space entry certificate and valid driver’s license may be required in some locations.
