ES Field Technician I (Environmental Services)

Location: Massena, NY, USA; onsite field work with responses during normal business hours and after hours.

Pay range: $17.65–$24.25 per hour, depending on the hiring locality.

What you will do

• Perform tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, and high-pressure washing.
• Work in confined spaces, including manholes, and carry out other remedial activities.
• Respond to customer spills and environmental emergencies during and outside normal business hours.
• Set up and operate pumps, trailer-mounted generators, air compressors, light towers, pallet jacks, skid steers, and related equipment.
• Maintain equipment and work sites while following applicable safety policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Experience with light and heavy equipment and hazardous or non-hazardous emergency cleanup.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand operational, technical, process, safety, and quality instructions.
• Knowledge of chemicals and safety data sheets, plus proficiency with basic tablet or PC use and hand tools.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience; a valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
