Strategic Product Manager (Biotech Reagents)

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional travel to Piscataway, New Jersey

Salary: $125,000–$155,000 annually, based on experience

What you will do

• Define long-term product portfolio strategies and roadmaps across antibodies, recombinant proteins, enzymes, bioassays, protein purification products, Cell & Gene Therapy reagents, and emerging technology platforms.
• Identify technology white spaces, unmet customer needs, research trends, and commercial opportunities.
• Translate customer workflows, Jobs-to-be-Done, and Voice of the Customer insights into product strategy.
• Evaluate opportunities across scientific feasibility, customer value, market potential, competitive differentiation, intellectual property, and business economics.
• Lead Build vs. Buy vs. Partner assessments and prepare data-driven business cases for executive investment decisions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Business Development, Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and QA/RA teams.

Requirements

• Remote work is limited to the United States, with occasional travel to Piscataway, New Jersey.
• Strong scientific background and biotechnology or life sciences industry experience.
• Experience in product management, product strategy, or a related role.
• PhD preferred, or a Master’s degree with exceptional industry experience, in biology, cell biology, immunology, protein engineering, antibody engineering, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in one or more areas including protein engineering, antibody discovery and optimization, Cell & Gene Therapy reagent development, functional proteins, bioassays, or advanced protein purification technologies.
• Ability to combine scientific depth with strategic thinking, customer insight, portfolio design, market analysis, and executive communication.

Nice to have

• Experience in early discovery, platform development, or CMC within biopharma or a top-tier CRO.
• Direct experience with biopharma customers, business development, technical marketing, or corporate strategic planning.
