Director, People Systems and Operations (HCM)

Location: Hybrid schedule with at least three in-person days per week at the hirify.global Midtown Manhattan office, plus travel to campuses across the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. The role is based in New York City and requires a commutable distance.

Salary: $105,060–$131,840 per year

What you will do

• Own the HCM ecosystem covering Core HR, payroll, time and attendance, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, compensation, and performance management.
• Develop and execute a multi-year People technology roadmap, including system configuration, integrations, testing, automation, and optimization.
• Establish data governance, access controls, audits, reconciliations, documentation, and processes that support accurate employee data and payroll.
• Build reporting, analytics, dashboards, and service metrics that turn workforce data into recommendations for People strategy.
• Lead cross-functional implementations, upgrades, operational improvements, change management, training, and post-launch support.
• Manage HR technology vendors and consultants, including scopes of work, deliverables, timelines, costs, and escalations.

Requirements

• 9+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR, People Operations, employee experience, organizational effectiveness, project management, or a related field, including significant enterprise HR technology ownership.
• 3+ years leading complex HR technology projects, teams, or functions.
• Deep experience with a major enterprise HCM platform; UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Management experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with HRIS configuration, integrations, data governance, testing, reporting, system controls, HR and payroll processes, and the employee lifecycle.
• Strong project management, process improvement, systems-thinking, analytical, stakeholder engagement, change management, documentation, and communication skills.
• Must work from a commutable distance to New York City and attend the office at least three days per week; the role also requires travel to hirify.global schools. hirify.global does not offer visa sponsorship or work authorization.
