Structural Engineer II (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Lead discipline-specific structural design scopes and budgets for small to mid-sized projects.
• Develop construction drawing packages and specifications with minimal oversight.
• Conduct field surveys, site walks, construction reporting, and documentation of non-compliant existing conditions.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead design reviews and squad checks, support proposals and training presentations, and assist with system programming and master planning.
• Mentor Engineer I and Designer I/II team members.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a design firm or similar environment.
• Proficiency with structural design software such as RISA, Enercalc, or Tedds.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiarity with structural material codes and applicable building standards.
• Ability to perform structural design calculations with limited supervision and coordinate with construction partners.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license or progress toward licensure.
• Experience troubleshooting structural systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
