Structural Project Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in Lakewood, Colorado (Denver), USA. Travel up to 10%.

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Interact with clients on technical design issues, document coordination, and submittal schedules.
• Manage engineering team members in a fast-paced project environment.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and other team members.
• Oversee complete and technically accurate reports, calculations, 3D models, and engineering drawings.
• Use and train others on RISA, RAM, Concept, Bluebeam, and Revit for construction documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of consulting structural engineering experience focused on commercial buildings.
• 2+ years of management experience overseeing structural engineering services.
• Professional Engineer registration in good standing.
• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering.
• Experience with reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, reinforced masonry, structural and composite steel, foundations, shear walls, braced frames, and moment frames.
• Strong time management skills, self-direction, and ability to work effectively with other team members.

Nice to have

• Structural Engineer registration, business development experience, cold-formed steel experience, or an advanced degree.
• Experience with seismic design categories D, E, and F, extreme wind loading, blast-resistant structures, or flood-resistant structures.
