Senior Accountant (Inventory Accounting)

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 base salary per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own the general ledger and end-to-end monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and marketplace reconciliations.
• Own inventory accounting, costing, inventory movements, and reconciliation between operational systems and the general ledger.
• Prepare audit schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation for hirify.global's first external financial audit.
• Research technical GAAP matters and help design accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance processes.
• Partner with Operations, Supply, and EPD teams on data issues, reporting, analysis, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and hands-on experience with AR, AP, external audits, and an ERP accounting system.
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills with experience handling large, high-volume transaction datasets.
• Comfort using AI tools daily to accelerate reconciliations, analysis, documentation, and automation.
• Ability to work from the Los Angeles office and personally execute accounting work on a small team.

Nice to have

• Inventory, e-commerce, or marketplace accounting experience in high-SKU environments.
• Experience with Rillet or another modern AI-native accounting platform.
• Public accounting experience in audit or advisory.
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
