Senior Accountant

Location: Remote positions based in California and Texas, USA

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead revenue and account reconciliations across assigned divisions.
• Prepare monthly revenue journal entries, accruals, supporting documentation, and follow-up on reconciling items.
• Own the accuracy and timeliness of month-end close deliverables.
• Prepare divisional financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial results, explain significant variances, and present findings to management.
• Coordinate audits, intercompany reconciliations, reporting, and accounting improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
• 3–4 years of general ledger accounting experience in retail, insurance, or hospitality.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and the ability to research and resolve accounting issues.
• Excellent Excel and/or Access Database experience.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must work remotely from the listed California or Texas locations.

Nice to have

• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Great Plains, Oracle, or SAP.
• Experience with Business Intelligence systems such as Velixo, OneStream, OBIEE, or EssBase.
• Experience compiling, analyzing, and interpreting financial data.
