Accounting Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Scotts Valley, United States; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Build and scale accounting operations for a high-growth technology and manufacturing company.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes through journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Own or support accounts payable, accruals, payroll, accounts receivable, revenue, fixed assets, inventory, and general ledger activities.
• Manage capitalization policies, construction-in-progress tracking, depreciation, and fixed asset reconciliations.
• Improve accounting systems, automation, data quality, internal controls, and reporting reliability.
• Partner with business stakeholders on capital expenditures, operating expenses, inventory, manufacturing activities, and accounting guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manager-level ownership in a high-growth or fast-changing environment.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and the ability to apply accounting principles to daily operations.
• Experience designing, documenting, and improving accounting processes and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing, hardware, or inventory-intensive business, including fixed assets and capitalization policies.
