Systems Administrator II (Fintech)

Location: 5 days onsite supporting a banking client in Fairfield, California, United States

Salary: $37.78–$64.22 per hour

What you will do

• Administer and support Windows, Linux, and virtualized server environments for high availability and performance.
• Monitor system health, utilization, capacity, logging, and performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, networking, and connectivity incidents.
• Implement patches, upgrades, enhancements, maintenance activities, and change-management procedures.
• Support identity and access management, backups, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Develop automation scripts, maintain documentation, and collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience administering enterprise server environments, operating systems, and infrastructure platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Experience with virtualization, cloud platforms, or hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, monitoring, incident resolution, and performance management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting and automation technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with SCCM, IGEL, Citrix, Nutanix AOS, or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of IT service management practices and service delivery frameworks.
