Principal Information Systems Engineer (Windows/Mac Endpoint)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco or Lehi, United States; in-office attendance is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote placement will not be considered.

Time zone: Local hours in Pacific or Mountain Time (PT, MT). Travel to hirify.global offices or other locations may be required as needed.

Salary: $158,000–$205,000 base salary, plus potential equity and annual bonus.

What you will do

• Own the strategy, architecture, and technical direction for Windows and Mac end-user computing.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex endpoint issues and engineer solutions that improve reliability.
• Administer SCCM, Intune, and JAMF, including application packaging, OS imaging, inventory, and device deployment.
• Build Bash, Python, and PowerShell automation to reduce repetitive work, using AI tools where appropriate.
• Evaluate and certify operating-system updates, patches, service packs, and endpoint security changes.
• Lead technical resources, review designs, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with vendors and onshore/offshore partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in end-user computing, endpoint engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise with JAMF, Active Directory, SCCM, and Intune.
• Experience with CIS/NIST standards, endpoint security, software deployment, inventory, antivirus, and identity access management.
• Experience with Okta, Entra ID, Terraform, AWS EC2, or Kubernetes/EKS; JAMF, SCCM, or Intune certification.
• Strong technical judgment, communication, problem-solving, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Network engineering experience, including 802.1x for wired and wireless connections.
• Familiarity with configuration profiles, preference files, Citrix, Amazon WorkSpaces, Bitwarden, or similar credential managers.
