Principal C# Software Developer (Industrial Software)

Location: Medina, Minnesota, United States. The role requires legal authorization to work in the United States; temporary visa holders and candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible.

Salary: $127,000–$158,700 per year, plus bonus or variable incentive pay.

What you will do

• Implement strategic capabilities for the Enterprise Operations Platform in an Agile development team.
• Translate architectural designs into scalable, maintainable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Build and maintain high-performance data services that securely move and manage large volumes of industrial data from plant-floor systems to the cloud.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Debug integration and performance issues while supporting and maintaining software products.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, design guidance, and collaboration across architecture, security, product, support, and development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8–12 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with less experience.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies, services, architecture, container orchestration, microservices, and RESTful API design.
• Experience with C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Lua, and with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL.
• Experience with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD platforms, GitOps tools, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, identity and access management, and security scanning.
• Experience with Agile frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum, architectural direction, mentoring, advanced debugging, and complex technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IoT or edge devices and their operational constraints, strengths, weaknesses, and risks.
• Experience with Angular, React, OpenTelemetry, Playwright, OAuth 2.0, RBAC, Inmation, Aveva PI Connect, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Ansible, Artifactory, Black Duck, Snyk, Flux, or Argo CD.
