Lead Actuary, Risk and Compliance

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Manage and oversee actuaries and support staff involved in identifying, assessing, and mitigating actuarial and business risks.
• Support compliant Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan bid filings through interpretation and implementation of CMS guidance, review standards, and controls.
• Maintain hirify.global’s internal version of the CMS Out-of-Pocket Cost model, gather business inputs, and run and interpret model results.
• Partner with pricing actuaries to resolve model test failures and develop cost-effective risk mitigation approaches.
• Participate in CMS audits and reviews related to Medicare bids.
• Advise executives and provide peer review on actuarial, insurance, industry, and regulatory practices while leading process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 8 years of technical experience and at least 2 years of project leadership experience.
• Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA).
• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively in written and oral form.
• Ability to work remotely nationwide in the United States; a dedicated workspace and internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload are required.
