Associate Director, Claims Compliance (Health Insurance)

Location: Fully remote, open only to candidates residing in Dallas, Texas, United States

Salary: $134,136–$176,053 per year, plus annual performance bonuses

What you will do

• Lead claims compliance analysts investigating regulatory inquiries and preparing external responses.
• Coordinate claims research, adjustments, regulatory inquiries, and related operational processes.
• Work directly with regulatory agencies on examinations and investigations.
• Translate claims strategy into business plans, tactics, KPIs, targets, and SLAs.
• Partner with insurance operations, legal, audit, compliance, and other departments to resolve claims issues and improve workflows.
• Supervise and train managers and employees while driving cross-functional initiatives and department goals.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in claims operations and processing, insurance products, and regulatory or policy language.
• 5+ years of people management and team leadership experience, including prioritizing work across multiple high-value projects.
• Experience collaborating with regulatory agencies and strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Ability to develop data-driven, concrete answers in situations with incomplete information.
• Must reside in Dallas, Texas, United States; the role is remote.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or four years of equivalent experience.
• Experience interpreting benefits and contracts or working with professional and institutional billing requirements.
• Experience managing claims across Medicare or Commercial products.
• Experience improving processes and workflows.
• Experience partnering with engineering and product teams on requirements, tooling, and technical troubleshooting.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
