Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: US - Bellevue, WA; at least 3 days per week in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $110,700–$171,800 per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, build, and support secure, scalable solutions for the Acceptance Solutions transaction-processing platform.
• Develop enterprise-scale distributed systems, APIs, web services, microservices, and integration platforms.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka, message queues, event streaming, and workflow orchestration.
• Build cloud-native solutions with modern programming languages, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• Improve authentication, observability, reliability, automated testing, performance, and API certification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or Kotlin.
• Experience with API-first design, REST, OpenAPI, JSON, webhooks, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML, mTLS, or IAM.
• Experience with fintech, payments, banking, PCI-DSS, SOX, Generative AI, or AI-assisted engineering tools is relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with white-labeling, multi-tenant applications, portal architecture, and self-service platforms.
• Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, responsive design, mobile-first development, accessibility, and UI/UX principles.
• Knowledge of merchant and acquirer workflows, internationalization, localization, and design systems.
