CMM Programmer (Metal 3D Printing)

Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, California, in the Los Angeles area; second shift is approximately 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Salary: $30–$45 per hour, plus a second-shift differential and stock options.

What you will do

• Operate a Zeiss Contura CMM with Calypso to inspect complex metal 3D-printed parts and geometries.
• Create and execute inspection programs and ensure accurate, consistent measurements.
• Interpret GD&T requirements in engineering drawings and identify dimension interpretation issues.
• Select gauges and inspection tools for feature tolerances and quality verification.
• Communicate inspection results and potential part or process issues to engineering and production teams.
• Maintain inspection programs, tools, records, and CMM equipment while improving inspection workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CMM operating experience.
• 1+ year of CMM programming experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T principles.
• Ability to work onsite in Hawthorne, California, and on the second shift.
• Detail-oriented, collaborative approach to precision inspection, quality assurance, and problem solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zeiss Contura and Calypso.
• Experience inspecting metal 3D-printed parts with a CMM.
• Ability to use power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds unassisted.
• Availability and willingness to work overtime when needed.
