Senior CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite

Salary: $28–$32 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and modify CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain CMM equipment and troubleshoot measurement or programming issues.
• Inspect manufactured parts for compliance with GD&T requirements, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Perform inspections, testing, sampling, and verification across incoming materials, in-process products, packaging operations, and finished goods.
• Analyze measurement data and prepare accurate inspection records and quality control reports.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams, escalate unusual results, and train junior CMM programmers or quality personnel.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of inspection, manufacturing, laboratory, quality control, or related technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, quality systems, inspection methods, sampling procedures, and quality documentation.
• Proficiency with CMM software such as PC-DMIS or Calypso.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, acceptance criteria, and 3D CAD models.
• Experience using measurement tools, gauges, and inspection equipment, with strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• GD&T, ASQ, or specialized CMM programming certification.
