Supplier Industrialization Engineer (3D Printing)

Location: Somerville, Massachusetts, United States; on-site role with up to 20% international travel

hirify.global develops 3D printing technology used to design, prototype, and manufacture physical products, including medical devices.

What you will do

• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for new product introductions in collaboration with R&D.
• Own the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) within NPI bills of materials and manage supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Communicate technical requirements between suppliers and hirify.global R&D teams.
• Develop supplier manufacturing processes, track launch readiness, and drive supplier performance and yield improvements.
• Research manufacturing technologies, build supply chain strategies, and manage cost modeling for new products.
• Source materials for NPI builds and maintain clear-to-build reports covering material availability, schedules, and program costs.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of post-graduate experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, or supplier quality engineering.
• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing process quality plans, conducting supplier quality audits, and improving yields.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, with strong data analysis and attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20% for supplier audits, QBRs, and relationship building.

Nice to have

• 3D CAD design experience, particularly SolidWorks.
• At least 2 years of experience with electronics and reading schematics.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills.
