People Ops Generalist (AI)

Location: Remote; applicants must currently reside in one of the specified U.S. states or Ontario, Canada. Offices are available in Palo Alto, New York City, Chicago, and Toronto.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year, plus potential equity.

hirify.global is a pre-IPO startup building an AI-powered platform for affordable car ownership, including insurance, vehicle transactions, registration, loans, safety, repairs, and parking.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, offboarding, employee files, and benefits.
• Coordinate role-specific onboarding and compliance activities, including I-9 verification, state new-hire filings, and benefits enrollment deadlines.
• Research employment law requirements and help draft and refine HR policies and procedures.
• Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, onboarding materials, and other HR documentation.
• Answer employee questions, resolve routine HR issues, and escalate complex matters when needed.
• Improve HR processes through documentation, automation, employee engagement initiatives, and AI tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• 2–4 years of hands-on HR generalist experience, preferably in a small or high-growth company.
• Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment law fundamentals.
• Experience building HR automations and systems, with comfort using HRIS platforms.
• Ability to work independently, manage sensitive information, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly.
• Must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
