Executive Director, Healthcare Strategy & Innovation

Location: Remote, US; travel required as needed for client engagements, industry events, partner meetings, and internal collaboration.

Compensation benchmarks: $207,842.25 at the 25th percentile, $252,188.13 at the 50th percentile, and $292,197.50 at the 75th percentile.

What you will do

• Lead healthcare market strategy and serve as an executive advisor to healthcare provider organizations.
• Shape healthcare consulting service portfolios, delivery capabilities, market messaging, and thought leadership.
• Support business development through executive client meetings, discovery workshops, solution development, proposals, and strategic account sponsorship.
• Advise clients on healthcare IT strategy, EMR/EHR modernization, clinical workflows, interoperability, infrastructure, cybersecurity, resilience, and digital health.
• Develop healthcare AI strategy and advisory services covering generative AI, predictive analytics, automation, responsible AI governance, and value realization.
• Build partner relationships, expand service capabilities, and help recruit and develop healthcare consultants, architects, and client leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, healthcare administration, engineering, computer science, business, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive healthcare technology leadership experience.
• Former CIO, CTO, Chief Digital Officer, VP of IT, or equivalent executive-level technology leader within a healthcare provider organization.
• Experience with large health systems, academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, or complex multi-hospital environments.
• Expertise in enterprise transformation, healthcare operations, clinical workflows, EMR/EHR platforms, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, resilience, and infrastructure modernization.
• Executive communication, facilitation, presentation, stakeholder management, business development, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA, MHA, MS, or equivalent.
• Experience with Epic, Oracle Health, MEDITECH, AI, analytics, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Relationships with healthcare executives, technology leaders, industry associations, and strategic vendors.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, interoperability standards, healthcare cybersecurity, and AI governance.
• Consulting, managed services, technology sales, or professional services leadership experience.
