Senior Process Engineer (Mining)

Location: Remote with a hybrid workplace arrangement. Geography is not a limiting factor, but preference may be given to candidates residing in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, or Utah. Regular travel to hirify.global offices, project locations, active industrial facilities, and team events is expected.

What you will do

• Lead process engineering for mining, mineral processing, aggregate, metals, and heavy industrial projects.
• Develop process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, mass and energy balances, process criteria, calculations, and equipment specifications.
• Design and evaluate process piping, slurry transport, pumping, dewatering, conveying, crushing, storage, dust collection, ventilation, water treatment, and utility systems.
• Lead multidisciplinary project delivery, including scope, budgets, schedules, design reviews, hazard assessments, constructability reviews, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, clients, project managers, and contractors while providing technical oversight and quality review.
• Support proposals, client presentations, business development, industry events, and long-term client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, metallurgical, mining, or related engineering.
• Experience as a lead engineer on multidisciplinary industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of process design, hydraulic systems, process piping, industrial pumping, bulk solids handling, equipment selection, and process safety.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, and engineering specifications.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to travel periodically to industrial facilities and project sites.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer certification and twelve or more years of progressive engineering experience.
• Experience in mining, mineral processing, aggregate, metals, cement, industrial manufacturing, or material handling.
• Experience with slurry pipelines, abrasive process systems, process simulation, industrial controls, commissioning, or startup.
• Consulting engineering experience and experience leading engineering teams or large project scopes.
