Senior Designer (Natural Gas Plant & Midstream)

Location: Houston, Texas; hybrid schedule with office work Monday through Wednesday and remote work Thursday and Friday

What you will do

• Support greenfield and brownfield plant engineering and construction projects for natural gas facilities, compressor stations, and related midstream infrastructure.
• Research, manage, revise, and maintain drawings for issued-for-approval, issued-for-bid, issued-for-construction, and as-built packages.
• Perform quality control on P&ID/SPID drawings, schematics, sketches, and third-party engineering packages.
• Interpret field data, redlines, and construction feedback to produce accurate and complete as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, field operations, inspectors, construction teams, procurement, logistics, vendors, and third-party engineering firms.
• Assign drawing numbers, verify material specifications, and resolve missing or incorrect technical information.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience with an associate degree in drafting or equivalent experience; 20 years without an associate degree in drafting or equivalent.
• Strong experience in plant drafting and design, particularly in pipeline and compressor station environments.
• Extensive experience with P&IDs/SPIDs, schematics, as-built documentation, drafting standards, and engineering specifications.
• Experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, and Bluebeam.
• Strong quality control, data verification, communication, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work in the Houston office three days per week; some travel to other offices may be required.
