PMEL Technician II - Metrology/Calibration

hirify.global Support Services provides technical support for the US Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program.

What you will do

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, align, repair, modify, and certify Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment in an assigned Precision Measurement Equipment Lab.
• Provide intermediate to advanced calibration and repair services across electronic, electro-mechanical, physical, dimensional, mechanical, optical, and thermal equipment.
• Capture test readings using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, pulse generators, power meters, torque calibrators, and temperature and pressure measurement devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair systems and circuit boards to component level, including surface-mount technology.
• Maintain safety, security, quality management, documentation, and calibration traceability requirements.
• Participate in root cause analysis, communicate issues to customers and management, and provide technical guidance and training to other technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of verifiable PMEL or calibration technical experience.
• Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, calibrating, and certifying Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment.
• Knowledge of metrology techniques, laboratory practices, calibration traceability, and US Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program procedures.
• Ability to interpret block, schematic, wiring, and logic diagrams and technical data.
• Must satisfy background check criteria and be able to obtain a security clearance.
