Plate Structures Designer

Location: Bang Na, Thailand; recruiting Thai nationals only

What you will do

• Produce detailed drawings for customer approval, fabrication, and construction in accordance with applicable design codes, company standards, and customer specifications.
• Create drawings and bills of material for plate structures, foundations, structural elements, and associated piping.
• Check constructability and ensure details are safe for field erection and use.
• Compare drawings and bills of material with as-sold estimates and report discrepancies to the project team.
• Run drawing and bill-of-material programs, estimate task durations, and meet committed deadlines.
• Use document management, collaboration, and productivity tools while coordinating with engineers, designers, and managers.

Requirements

• Thai nationality is required as part of the local talent development initiative.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma plus at least one year of post-high-school education, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D CAD, including MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of steel detailing practices, industry standards, geometry, trigonometry, unit conversions, quantity take-offs, and basic bills of material.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
