Intern - Maintenance Engineer (Studying Bachelor or Master's Degree) (Manufacturing)

Location: BangPa-in, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand; onsite at the BangPa-In Building 2 facility.

What you will do

• Lead a defined engineering or process improvement project with clear scope and measurable deliverables.
• Apply graduate-level engineering knowledge to manufacturing challenges in slider and HGA operations.
• Perform data analysis, design experiments, and prepare technical documentation with guidance from a senior engineer mentor.
• Present project findings to the engineering team at the midpoint and at program completion.
• Contribute technical recommendations that can be used after the internship.
• Participate in structured learning sessions, assessments, and individual development conversations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Completed a bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical discipline.
• Strong academic record with an active thesis or research project.
• Available for a structured 3–6 month internship.
• Advanced technical problem-solving and research skills, with the ability to manage a project workstream independently.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Thesis or research experience in manufacturing, materials, process optimization, or precision engineering.
• Experience with experimental design, statistical analysis, or process simulation.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or quality engineering methodologies.
• Data analysis proficiency with Minitab, Python, MATLAB, or an equivalent tool.
• Prior industry internship or research collaboration with a manufacturing company.
