What you will do

• Operate and support a cloud platform built with Java and open-source technologies including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo.
• Ensure day-to-day operational stability for a managed infrastructure supporting data-intensive analytics.
• Provide customer support and Tier 1–3 troubleshooting across Linux-based environments.
• Diagnose and repair operational issues involving networking, provisioning, DNS, firewalls, and infrastructure services.
• Work on an evening or mid shift and collaborate with the Operations Team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance are required; TS/SCI with an agency-appropriate polygraph is specified.
• 7 years of Red Hat/CentOS command-line experience.
• 7 years of Linux/Unix networking experience, including nmap, tcpdump, and firewalls.
• 7 years of Red Hat/CentOS Kickstart and provisioning experience, plus 2+ years of Red Hat DNS administration covering DNS, hosts files, and DHCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8570 IAT Level I or higher, preferably Security+, must be obtained before starting; one of AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, CDP Administrator – Private Cloud Base, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certifications is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Python, Bash, Prometheus, JIRA, HDFS, virtualization, Salt, Ansible, Grafana, OpenStack, or AWS.
