Intern - Platform Development (Systems Engineering)

Location: Hybrid from an office in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, or Mandan, North Dakota; minimum three days per week in the office and up to five days per week as needed.

What you will do

• Support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems and technical workflows.
• Assist with system monitoring, application deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure operations.
• Contribute to scripting and automation initiatives using tools such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Test and validate infrastructure, deployment, and automation changes.
• Maintain and document DevOps workflows, system procedures, and technical processes in Confluence and other team tools.
• Review and prioritize assigned tasks and change requests with guidance from Systems Engineers and technical teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems, command-line environments, scripting, automation tools, and DevOps concepts.
• Knowledge of source control, CI/CD processes, TCP/IP networking, relational databases, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
