TL;DR
Lead Systems Integration Engineer (DevSecOps): Integrating, testing, and advancing complex DoD software systems for the BLOS Engagement Controller and Manager program with an accent on test automation, reusable tooling, and secure deployment pipelines. Focus on designing integration harnesses, building CI/CD capabilities for classified environments, and tracing defects across subsystem and external-system boundaries.
Location: On-site five days per week at a secure controlled information facility in Sterling, VA, United States. Work is split between office and SCIF environments.

What you will do
- Lead system integration testing across internal subsystems and external systems, including formal test events and site acceptance activities.
- Design and maintain test tooling such as simulators, stubs, message injectors, data generators, log analyzers, and reporting utilities.
- Build automated regression capabilities and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Create reusable integration, test, deployment, and environment-configuration components across programs.
- Deploy software to lab, integration, and customer environments using containers and secure infrastructure automation.
- Provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and maintain integration, testing, and deployment documentation.
Requirements
- STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree with at least 3 years of experience.
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership role and experience leading integration and test efforts across multiple systems.
- Experience building test automation frameworks, reusable tooling, and DevSecOps capabilities in secure, regulated environments.
- Experience with a major public cloud provider, container orchestration technologies, and tools such as Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, or ArgoCD.
- Proficiency with Python, Pytest, Linux shell scripting, GitLab, and Artifactory.
- Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required before starting.
Nice to have
- Experience with distributed, real-time, or message-driven systems and interface simulators.
- Knowledge of JUnit XML, CTRF, Allure, Gherkin, or Cucumber.
- Experience with NiFi, Kafka, REST APIs, Swagger, or Cameo.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or DoD IAT Level II certification.
