Diesel Garage Mechanic

Location: Livermore Falls, Maine, United States

Hourly pay: $27.00–$30.00 per hour, dependent on experience; the range may be adjusted based on cost of living.

hirify.global is hiring for a maintenance garage role supporting machinery, equipment, and rolling stock operations.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and buildings.
• Assist with repairs to diesel equipment, infeed and outfeed systems, forklifts, and other rolling stock.
• Use diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications when completing repairs.
• Order required parts and supplies, maintain repair records, and prepare reports.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support safety, continuous improvement, meetings, and hazardous waste handling activities when assigned to the Treating Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience in diesel repair and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technologies, as well as welding.
• Knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
