Abatement and Demolition Foreman (Environmental Remediation)

Location: Field-based in Middle River, Maryland, United States; travel to assigned job sites and availability for overtime, weekends, nights, and varying shifts may be required.

Provides specialized environmental and demolition services, including asbestos and lead abatement, mold remediation, Infection Control Risk Assessment services, and selective demolition.

What you will do

• Lead and supervise assigned field crews performing abatement, remediation, ICRA containment, and selective demolition work.
• Communicate daily assignments, priorities, production goals, safety expectations, and work plans.
• Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and PPE while maintaining safe, clean, and organized work areas.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship, progress, containment controls, and compliance with project requirements.
• Train crew members, inspect completed work, address deficiencies, and perform field work alongside the crew when needed.
• Report progress, manpower needs, material shortages, safety concerns, delays, scope changes, and field conditions to the Superintendent.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in abatement, demolition, environmental remediation, ICRA, or related construction work.
• Active asbestos abatement certification and ability to obtain and maintain other required certifications.
• Previous crew lead or supervisory experience, with the ability to lead, train, and communicate effectively with field crews.
• Working knowledge of construction safety practices, OSHA requirements, project drawings, specifications, and work plans.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, construction equipment, and required PPE safely.
• Valid driver's license, reliable attendance, ability to travel to job sites, and ability to work physically demanding shifts in indoor and outdoor construction environments.

Nice to have

• Lead abatement, remediation, ICRA containment, selective demolition, healthcare, or occupied-environment experience.
• Knowledge of Interim Life Safety Measures and OSHA 30 certification.
• Carpentry or drywall experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish ability.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school education.
