Maintenance Technician (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Mentor, Ohio, USA; fixed night schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Salary: $31.47–$41.41 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential.

What you will do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing machinery and facility equipment.
• Repair motors, conveyor systems, switchboards, relays, power distribution circuits, and other electrical and mechanical systems.
• Use schematics, diagrams, precision tools, and testing instruments to identify root causes of failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance, conduit installation, wiring, component replacement, and equipment testing.
• Maintain shift metrics and service logs while collaborating with engineering and production teams on quality, safety, and uptime improvements.

Requirements

• Trade school certification, an associate degree in industrial maintenance, or equivalent journeyman-level experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot three-phase and PLC systems.
• Ability to safely use electrical testing instruments and apply root-cause problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivation, adaptability, and willingness to work overtime.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work the fixed-night schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM at the Mentor, Ohio site.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of multi-craft electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with process equipment, roll maintenance, or automated production systems.
