Director, Legal and Regulatory (Real Estate)

Salary: $260,000–$320,000 annually, plus a short-term cash incentive program

What you will do

• Manage the Investment Committee process from transaction submission through review, classification, routing, follow-up, and post-committee debriefs.
• Review transactions and advise deal teams on internal policies, procedures, governance requirements, and submission quality.
• Oversee initial transaction reviews and coordinate agendas and stakeholders across review cycles.
• Manage day-to-day data governance operations, including data-model standards, master-data escalations, knowledge management, and data-quality analysis.
• Identify governance, data, and workflow issues and support improvements using technology, AI, automation, and analytics.
• Provide enterprise risk, commercial contract, legal, and regulatory support for governance programs and global real estate matters.

Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Four or more years of transactional, asset-management investment, or legal operations experience.
• Experience supporting complex processes and coordinating legal, investment, operations, and technology stakeholders.
• Experience with complex transactions, corporate and legal entity structures, and related documentation.
• Strong judgment, written and verbal communication, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadline-driven workstreams.
• Strong interest in legal operations, data governance, and applying AI or automation to business processes.
