Global Head of Legal

Location: In-person role based in the New York office, United States

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annual salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Own legal matters across the US and UK, advising the executive team and business functions on legal risk and strategy.
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, supplier, technology, marketing, partnership, and other commercial agreements.
• Support store lease review, negotiations, renewals, real estate matters, and new-market openings.
• Lead employment law matters, corporate governance, entity management, equity and cap table matters, litigation, disputes, and regulatory inquiries.
• Advise on intellectual property, trademarks, licensing, privacy, data protection, app, subscription, and e-commerce matters.
• Build legal infrastructure, including templates, playbooks, policies, external counsel relationships, and scalable processes for expansion.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active US bar admission required.
• 5+ years of legal experience, ideally combining law firm training with public or in-house experience in a high-growth commercial environment.
• Broad expertise in commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment law, and real estate.
• Experience supporting multi-jurisdiction operations, including US multi-state and/or UK or EU operations, and new-market entry.
• Strong commercial judgment, communication skills, independence, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Discretion, trustworthiness, and a hands-on builder’s mindset for creating legal processes from scratch.
