Senior Staff Device Characterization Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Palm Bay, Florida, United States. On-site role; remote work is not available.

What you will do

• Oversee and maintain semiconductor test equipment, automated probers, parameter analyzers, and manual probe stations.
• Perform wafer-level and package-part measurements, including process and device characterization, EPROM testing, raw I-V curves, HCI, and HTRB reliability tests.
• Conduct transient measurements such as gate charge and reverse recovery, as well as S-parameter measurements.
• Develop software required by device development and modeling teams.
• Collaborate with team members to debug test chip programs.
• Upgrade laboratory hardware and software as testing requirements evolve.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor device characterization.
• Experience with HP4062/4073, HP8753, Agilent B1500, EG2080, EG4090, TEL Precio XL, HP IC-CAP, and related probing and measurement systems.
• Familiarity with HP RMB or SPECS and Unix systems.
• Experience with automated probers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, and S-parameter systems.
• Knowledge of semiconductor layout using tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and of the underlying physics of tested devices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Splus/R, Python, MATLAB, or JMP.
