Senior Engineer I-Design (MEMS)

Location: MI - Detroit Sales Office, United States

Annual base salary: $70,304-$205,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Design, characterize, and analyze MEMS resonators and related technologies.
• Perform simulations, laboratory evaluations, debugging, device characterization, and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to the full product lifecycle from concept and design through qualification, release, production support, and customer delivery.
• Develop and maintain test software and automation for laboratory characterization and production testing.
• Collaborate with MEMS, ASIC, process engineering, assembly, test, quality, and product engineering teams across multiple sites.
• Communicate technical findings, project status, risks, and opportunities to engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Understanding of MEMS design and underlying fundamentals.
• Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or engineering applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a cross-functional, multi-site team.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
• Experience designing, modeling, fabricating, or characterizing MEMS resonators.
• Experience with COMSOL, MATLAB, Cadence, or LabVIEW.
• Experience analyzing large-scale device test data and developing statistical, machine-learning, or classification models.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, wafer-level processing, assembly, production testing, or product qualification.
