PCB Layout Design Engineer (High-Speed PCB)

What you will do

• Design and lay out multilayer, high-density printed circuit boards, including component placement and signal routing.
• Translate schematics into manufacturable PCB designs with attention to signal integrity, power integrity, thermal performance, and reliability.
• Define stack-ups, impedance control, and routing constraints for high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, and SERDES.
• Generate fabrication and assembly packages, including Gerber, ODB++, drawings, and BOM files, and perform DRC and layout validation.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, supplier, and production teams to ensure DFM/DFA compliance.
• Support prototype bring-up, debugging, failure analysis, layout optimization, documentation, library maintenance, and revision control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• 3–8+ years of experience in PCB layout or design, depending on level.
• Strong proficiency with PCB design tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, Mentor, or Zuken.
• Experience with multilayer, high-density boards, PCB layout and routing, high-speed digital design, signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI mitigation.
• Knowledge of modern fabrication processes, problem-solving, troubleshooting, cross-functional collaboration, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial, semiconductor equipment, automotive, or other high-reliability electronic systems.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFT practices and cost optimization.
• Experience with board bring-up, validation, and failure analysis.
• IPC CID certification or equivalent.
