PACS Systems Analyst (Healthcare Imaging)

Location: Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States; travel to other WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites may be required for implementations, training, and support.

What you will do

• Support the maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, testing, and optimization of PACS and related clinical imaging systems.
• Assist with user security management, data import and export, basic reporting, and system error correction.
• Gather business requirements and collaborate with business partners and senior analysts to align technical solutions with operational needs.
• Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, risk management, issue tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Provide classroom, one-on-one, and remediation training, ongoing end-user support, and training content development.
• Contribute to continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or two years of relevant experience.
• Foundational ability to analyze business needs, document functional specifications, troubleshoot systems, test workflows, and manage multiple priorities.
• Relevant certifications or proficiencies may be required within 90 days after formal WVUHS Information Technology training.
• Knowledge of clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment with frequent walking, standing, lifting, and extended periods of sitting.
• Ability to work at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown and travel to other WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with business, clinical, imaging, or web application systems and advanced workflows.
• Systems administration experience and experience improving business or clinical operations.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.
• Knowledge of cloud-based healthcare applications, web services, reporting tools, and data analysis.
