Application Specialist (PAS)

Location: Edinburgh, UK. Customer-site visits and regular project travel may require spending up to 5 days away from home each week.

What you will do

• Analyze healthcare customer processes, identify functionality gaps, and propose standard TrakCare PAS solutions.
• Lead customer induction workshops, solution presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
• Produce business requirements, process maps, solution designs, validation scripts, and handover documentation.
• Configure customer sites, validate system configuration and migrated data, troubleshoot implementation issues, and coordinate fixes.
• Support dry runs and customer go-live activities, including on-site support and the transition to application support.
• Maintain product knowledge and collaborate with product, project, support, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of healthcare experience with an in-depth understanding of PAS processes, rules, workflows, and billing requirements in UK private and public hospitals.
• Excellent communication and consultative skills, including experience delivering customer training, workshops, presentations, and strong messaging to clinicians.
• Experience with business process mapping, functional documentation, information systems, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Experience interacting directly with healthcare customers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English.
• Availability to visit customer sites and travel regularly, potentially spending up to 5 days away from home each week.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing software solutions or working in a customer-facing IT services environment.
• Previous experience as an Application or Configuration Specialist.
• Experience with change management and software testing.
• Experience working with government, public-sector, or private healthcare stakeholders.
• University degree in science, engineering, or a clinical discipline.
