Senior PCB CAD Librarian

Location: Remote within the United States, excluding North Dakota, Vermont, and Rhode Island

Salary: $99,500–$157,000 annually; $123,500–$185,500 annually for specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Design schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and component parts for internal engineering customers.
• Develop and maintain PCB CAD component libraries according to IPC, industry, and hirify.global standards.
• Prioritize library work based on customer needs and resolve library-related issues.
• Validate library parts and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with Component Engineering, Electrical Engineering, PCB CAD Design, and other functional groups.
• Support hirify.global standards, process improvements, and proprietary component development.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a United States Secret Clearance.
• 8+ years of direct experience in library development.
• Advanced proficiency with Siemens Xpedition EDM library tools, including EDM Library Cockpit and EDM Librarian.
• Deep understanding of IPC-7351 specifications and the ability to interpret component datasheets.
• Experience developing schematic symbols and footprints using IPC, industry, and company standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, solve problems through change control or other methods, continually learn new technologies and processes, and travel less than 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Jira, Agile, or PLM.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
