Senior Field Applications Engineer (PCB)

Location: Remote - California; the ideal candidate must reside in California. The role includes customer, TTM manufacturing-site, and Asia Pacific travel of approximately 15–25%.

Salary: $109,841–$193,168 annually, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus.

What you will do

• Provide technical support to customer PCB designers and manufacturing groups throughout the design cycle.
• Advise on routing, layout, signal integrity, controlled impedance, PCB layer stack-ups, material selection, manufacturability, reliability, and cost trade-offs.
• Educate customers on Design for Manufacture and Design for Value, improving design packages and reducing design-cycle time.
• Analyze customer designs and resolve DFM, TQ, and pre-production issues with customer and TTM engineering teams.
• Present TTM capabilities, define technology roadmaps, and identify future capability requirements and gaps.
• Coordinate technical requirements across sales, development, pre-production engineering, operations, and TTM manufacturing sites.

Requirements

• Must reside in California.
• Strong PCB engineering background and knowledge of the complete PCB manufacturing process, including process flows, tooling, and individual processing steps.
• At least 6 years of experience in engineering activities related to PCB manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with electrical design performance and signal integrity, including impedance and insertion loss.
• Intermediate skills in drawing and blueprint interpretation, PCB CAM software, tooling, and PCB stack-up tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred, with strong customer communication and presentation skills.
